Knock at the door

Here I am sitting in my house, alone with my 2 babies. A knock on the door. It's a man. I have a wreath on my door so I cant get a good view of who it is. I am standing by the door too scared of opening the door. Then I see the same man walking down the back of my house, turns out it's LIPA/Keyspan coming to read the meter (we have a shop in the back that is why he was in the back of the house). I feel bad the man couldnt do his job and read the meter but if you think I am going to open my door to you when my husband isn't home you have another thing coming.

Unless I personally know the person at the door, I never open it when Im home alone.

I am single so I am at home alone when DD is at work in the evenings. I never answer the door because I have a neighbor that likes to come see me when he's wasted! He's disgusting!

I dont blame you, There have been alot of robberies, and you are 100% right for not opening the door.
I am going to be extra cautious when i move back into my house.

Its so scary especially this time of year, people are expecting packages and they prey on that

I usually let my three dogs go answer the door...and the person that is there runs away
