Has anyone been there? How's the food? I know it's been remodeled. I went years ago and it was good but don't really remember it. My mom is looking there for my baby shower and just wondering if anyone has had any experience there. TIA!

I'm not a huge fan... but I haven't eaten there in a while... if you're looking in that area, check out Pomodorino's on the border of Seaford/Massapequa. It's fabulous and reasonable - we had my bridal shower there

Its not been remodeled? Chat Icon

I just had my sons christening last month there.

The food was AMAZING! Everyone raved. Service was good, the staff was great.

BUT...we had some issues. There was a fly in the room the entire night driving everyone nuts. The menus had oil fingerprints all ove rthem and all the tables had different menus??

Mike ( owner) yelled, literally YELLEd at my family ( ina room of 70 people) for moving a table to connect two of them and asked them why they thought they could do whatever they wanted ( I TOLD them to do it) ....

We asked to take the cake home, we had half of it left and were told there were no boxes big enough?? ( We paid 100% for the cake, brought it in from outside, and they said they threw the original box out)

And I had to argue over the price at the end...Only 10 kids were invited but they swore 14 kids ate, and more adults then I knew ate and well the food was great but my experience was not.

But my family has had great parties there in the past.

Hit or miss IMO.

i loved that place - i had my rehearsal dinner there! i didn't have any problems other than that there was an islander game on in the bar and the guys in the BP wouldn't sit down so the waiters could serve the food Chat Icon

Re: Sergio's in Massapequa

I've eaten there once. I was trying it out to see if I wanted to have DH's surprise bday party there. I felt like it was really small and the food was just average.

I just called here for prices today for my sisters bridal shower!!!!

This is good info but mixed reviews - I guess I will have to go and taste test for myself.

The price sounds good but it doesnt sound like its always a pleasant environment.....hmmmm

Thnaks for the info!
