HELP!!!!!!! Updates
As you may have read Joe and I are going to be trying to get pg soon. I believe we can start trying for real in mid Jan and by March we should be in t he heart of BD ability Our doctor told me to start charting my ovulation and I don't know how??? To be honest I have no idea what i'm doing. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ladies I need some serious advice about the kits, symptoms, and timing. Do I have to check my temp???? I am sooooooooo lost right now. I can't believe i'm in medicine
So come on ladies........feed me knowledge
*****UPDATE******
I saw my OB NP yesterday and she has me charting. I have to see my OB/GYN in Feb to go over some things, but it looks like I should have no problem getting pg, but carrying to full term is kinda iffy. It looks like I would only carry to 30wks at best and the baby would be small. I have a weird uterous(?) and more then 1 at a time is out of the question I would almost def be on bed rest my week 14 until delivery. I guess I blocked out this part from my surgery last year. Oh well......everything happens for a reason.
Any more advice on ovulation????? I know about charting now and have sarted that, but what else?????

Re: HELP!!!!!!!
Welcome to the board!
There's a great book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility." Many women on here have read it and found it very hepful. It explains everything - charting, temping, how to tell when you're about to ovulate, etc.
There are also several websites you might find helpful. I used Fertility Friend. My Monthly Cycles is another one. They'll go through everything step-by-step.
It can all be overwhelming at times, but it's not as bad as it all sounds. Definately the book and one of the websites a try, it should make everything clearer for you.
Good luck!

Re: HELP!!!!!!!
I was chart-phobic until my RE told me to temp. Then I had no choice. I bought TCOYF and signed up with Fertility Friend. FF has a pretty decent series of tutorials that guide you through the process. If you prefer to do it on your own, you should be able to download an empty chart (I suggest doing a search of some kind) and put your own temps on it.
To start yourself off:
1) Get a Basal Body Thermometer (BBT)
2) Start taking your temperature at the same time every day (even on weekends and vacation days) from your first day of FULL FLOW when you get AF.
3) Take note of any special circumstances which could have an effect on your temperature (illness, stress, different waking time, vacation, flying etc) so if/when your doctor analyzes your chart, he can see if there could be any problems.
I will be very honest, I learned a lot about my body and TTC by temping and charting though I still hate doing it. I wish you the best of luck.

OPKs are ovulation predictor kits. We are using the clearblue easy digitals which show an empty circle when no surge of lutenizing hormone (LH) is detected... and a smiley face when the surge is detected. one you get the smiley, it means you should ovulate within 24-36 hours.
good luck!
