Fetal Echocardiagram
Has anyone had one? I will be in a few weeks because DD #1 was born with a genetic heart defect(VSD). She is okay but there are different degrees and it could require surgery. Curious what to expect at the test.

I've had 2 of them. It's a sono where they just look at the baby's heart. They found a spot on my level II, DD (edd 1/17) has a small VSD.

My DD had a VSD that was not found at until birth and closed up on its own by six months. She still has a heart murmer but she is totally fine. It turned out a small one is no big deal. So I wish the same for you.

I've had one...its totally fine, just a more detailed version of a Level II sono, just focusing mostly on the babies heart.

I had one. It is just like what they do at the 20 week anatomy scan; however, they only concentrate on the heart. They checked each part and then used a special feature to check the blood flow. It was pretty cool!
