Please tell me I am not the only one...
When I am in the car and I hear a radio commercial that has a ringing cell phone, I turn down the radio and reach for my own.
Radio commercials that have sirens in them (police cars, ambulances and fire engines) make me nuts too. I always slow down and look for them - they arent there.
Does anyone else react this way when they are in their cars?

Yes. I hate when it sounds like an accident (Opie & ANthony use that all the time) and I'm only half listening and think I'm going to be broadsided.

The siren ones not only make me slow down but I also freak out that I'm getting stopped for speeding or something

I do, esp when that Rihanna song plays on the radio and the sirens play at the end of the song. I always fall for it everytime I hear it.

yes- and there's certain songs that i HATE just because they have these sounds in them.
Oh, and there's a song (i think its by pink) that has a "ding ding ding" sound in the background- the warning sound that most cars make when you open the door w/ the keys in the ignition-- it always makes me think that my door swung open while i was driving. So, now i hate Pink, too.
