If you have or had this, at what point did or will the doctor determine you have to have a c section. Do they wait until the last minute. I don't go back to doctor for a week but am curious, I still have it and am getting antsy to know what is going to happen, I probably shouldn't rush things but am really seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now after a VERY difficult pregnancy! Atthis point natural or c-section, I just want to know.

Re: those with placenta previa/low lying placenta

I have complete placenta previa...my doctor told me we will discuss C-section after my next sonogram at 26 weeks which is next week. My next appointment with the doctor is the day after but that was only because I am traveling next Saturday...so I think she will discuss it at my 28th week appointment...if I still have it.

My BF had placenta previa and was on pelvic bed rest for a few weeks...the placenta moved up on it's own at about 30 weeks and she had a natural delivery.

Was her placenta previa complete? I am not on bed rest since I am not bleeding.

Re: those with placenta previa/low lying placenta

I was told that I have complete placenta Previa, a few weeks ago. I was upset but I can't drive myself crazy over something I can't control. my next sonogram is on December 24th I will be 27 weeks and a few days. After that I will meet with my Doctor to discuss having a c-section. At this point I'm metally prepared to be told that I will have to undergo a c-section, but I'm taking it one day at a time. I was put on pelvic rest, but I have not had any bleeding. I'll keep you posted.

I beleive she had complete placenta previa with no bleeding...she wasn't on total bedrest - she was able to go to work and do things, just no sex, lifting or carrying.
