Scary Thanksgiving Eve

So the BF and I were going to head out Wednesday night to do laundry so we get in the car but it wont shift gears. Just wonderful!

So my handy-dandy bf decided he needed to get under the car and check it out (mind you this is around 9PM and his car is into he driveway and on an incline).

So he gets under the car and starts looking and decides to fiddle we hear a pop and all of a sudden the cars rolls back a few inches (yeah he didn't do anything to secure the tires)!

The car was popped into reverse, thank goodness for the E break but the tired rolled onto his hand and trapped him there. So he's yelling at me to push the car. OMG I did all I could but kept slipping from the kind of wet concrete and couldn't move the car all the way. So he's yelling to push I'm yelling for help. A good minute (felt like forever) some neighbor comes running and we get the car off his hand.

I was never so scared before. So after I made sure he is in one piece I started to freak.

But lesson learned: never never get complacent. Always take the time to secure things before starting any work.

Today I can laugh since he is OK and he has a big red scratch on the front and back of his head. But boy was it not funny when it happened
