HEAR ME ROAR! 
I can't cook for shiat - it's the running joke with DH, his family and mine. We are still traumatized over a pumpkin soup I made 4 years ago when I met MIL for the first time 
But, 4 years later and I jumped back on the horse - yes, ladies, I made a pumpkin pie this evening, FROM SCRATCH, pumpkin and all!

From an actual pumpkin? Impressive!
My roommate in college did that once & it seemed easy , so I tried it the next year with my dad & we coudln't get it smooth,s o we went back to canned.

Yes, ladies, I made the pumpkin puree MYSELF, and even the Pie Crust!
It certainly LOOKS edible, but I guess the test will be tonight, when we eat it. If I don't ever appear again on LIF, it's probably because I've died from food poisoning, of my own doing
