Domestic flight
How can I find out what I can bring? Must I check luggage now? I'm flying to Chicago, then to Omaha tomorrow night.

You can still do carry on, you cannot bring liquids or gels. Plus the other things that have not been allowed since 9/11:
nail clippers
scissors
lighters
matches
all of which can be bought at a CVS or Walgreens.

you can check these items, just can't include them in your carry-on.

I always look at the TSA website for prohibited items. It's updated every so often:
http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/assistant/editorial_1012.shtm
Also the airline's website too. While the TSA's rules & regulations must be followed, airlines have the right to restrict additional items.
And...IMO this is the SAFEST time to fly. I'd rather fly during heightened security than a time where they're lax.
