Re: When is Thanksgiving "dinner"?
Usually a few hours after we're expecting it to be. It happens every year so DH and I never show up on time. Generally around 4pm.

Re: When is Thanksgiving "dinner"?
Btwn 1pm and 2pm is "dinner" but we graze all day and all night I believe that on Thanksgiving food has no calories Around 6pm my dad and stepmom are coming over for dessert and drinks. Joe will be at work by then, and he'll be cooking dinner for our night shift crews. The day supervisor does the day shift dinner and the night sup does the night shift dinner.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone

Re: When is Thanksgiving "dinner"?
First we go to my in laws and eat at about 1.
Then we go to my sisters and eat again around 3:30.
Then we go to my close friends house (2nd family) and eat around 6.
With the turkey trifecta are all over that poll!

Re: When is Thanksgiving "dinner"?
it really depends on the bird. It's in the oven now..hopefully ready by 2 and then I have the prime rib as well.
In the meantime we will al graze all day. Got lots of nice goodies.

Re: When is Thanksgiving "dinner"?
My inlaws are serving "dinner" at noon. I am so not happy about how early it is. I'd rather have a bagel than turkey at that time of day.

We're Italian so its pretty much all day
Same here.
We actually have a "cocktail hour" before dinner. Cheese, crackers, dip, a few drinks...then the turkey, then dessert, then more turkey later on...
Yep. Us too.

Re: When is Thanksgiving "dinner"?
My sister just called to say "hor d'oeuvres at 3:30, dinner around 6".
Who eats Thanksgiving dinner that late??!! Also, knowing my sister, we won't eat until about 2 hours LATER than what she said, so we won't be eating until around 8!
