Anyone get acne cysts
I get them once in a while on my chin and I go in and have them injected and they are usually gone with 24hours or so
1 appeared next to my nose right under my eye. Its actually swollen and if I look down, it blocks my vision. Im going in tomorrow morning to have it injected. It just hurts! It seems as if it is sitting on my bone! I put a warm compress it last night and then this morning it head a head (tmI) I soaked it with the washcloth again and all the icky stuff came out (tmi i know)
I want it gone before Thanksgiving
Has anyone ever had one like this?

Every now and then I get them in totally random places, usually if I am getting sick. I get them by my ears.
Totally embarrassing but I had one where your leg meets your butt and I had to go and have them fix it! OUCH!
I couldn't sit down.

I used to get them a few times a year- about 3 years ago I went on accutane and haven't had one since.

I get them too but mine sometime never come to a head. They are just huge , red , and hurt a lot. I sometimes have them injected and sometimes do not. Even when they get injected they leave red marks because my skin is so fair.
I am 26 and should not have to deal with this.

prebaby i used to get them all the time. do you ever try tea tree oil? its the only thing that ever worked for me other then having to run to the dr.

how does the tea tree oil work?
i get them monthly and its very annoying ive never had a derm doc so i just deal with them and wait them out.. im 27 i dont think that id get worse acne now then when i was younger

I get them all the time-mostly on my chin, but recently, I had a GIGANTIC one between my nose and cheek. Lasted for days...you can still see it actually. I think that injections are the only way to go. I bought the zeno from drugstore.com, am waiting for it's arrival.

Zits like this are different; even benzoyl peroxide or salycylic acid won't dry it--they're lumps and they hurt to the touch; I used to get them from time to time. If you want it gone by the holiday, see if you can run in for a cortisone injection. The pain and swelling will go down, but you'll probably still have a mark and maybe a crusty spot. (sorry) For me, pimples like this, around the chin/jaw were hormonal and/or caused by a food allergy. For me, dairy causes MAJOR zits like that in that chin/jaw area. I'm not saying that's what's doing it, but worth a little experimenting.

I had them really bad when I was 23... in fact I still have some scars from them 
The onlly thing that worked was a round of antibiotics (minocycline) then topical treatment to keep them at bay (it was a prescription - but I forget the name)
For me it was hormonal....
I still get one now and then- but since i started using Pro Activ on a regular basis- I RARELY get one!!!

you can buy a little jar of it in the health food store or trader joe's. i just found it helped them go away a lot quicker.

I used to get them pretty bad.. I had one that wouldn't go away for six months straight!!
I had it injected which would make part of it shrink temporarly. I went on pills that would make it shrink, only to grow again as soon as I went off them. Finally I went on accutane. It still didn't go away until the second month of treatment while the rest of my skin was flawless within a couple of weeks.
Haven't had one since (3 1/2 years ago).

When I get them, the only way they really go away is with an injection.
Sometimes they may eventually come to a head (gross) and open up and drain.
I have had one by my nose on an area with not much tissue and it really hurts, different than the rest so I know what youmean.
For me if I didn't get a cystic pimple injected it could take over 4 months for it to go away. I get them like 3 times a year now but for a while I was getting them more often (hormonal).

This one just hurts and its close to my eye, so that is what scares me. If I look down it kind of obstructs my vision!
And of course, now I can feel one on my chin as well!

you could just have a lot of gunk under your skin...if you can, getting a deep facial every few months really helps keep things under control. Been there, so I hope it goes away soon!
