What to take for sinus infection...
had a stuffy nose last week, went away, then tues am i wake up w/ a slight sore throat and stuffy nose-yellow snot (sorry lol)
i got benadryl-made me sleep the ENTIRE day yesterday, need soemthing that doesnt make me drowsy
i cant take antibiotics either, please recommend an OTC med!!!!!

Im not one for taking ANY kind of medication- I steer clear of EVERYTHING ( I know, I'm ridiculous ). The only thing I can suggest is getting a perscription for antibiotics to kill the infection. Those OTC crappy medications dont do anything but conceal the problem & trick your body into thinking you are better (Hence the reason why it makes you sleepy)
I would get the script for the antibiotics. Drink lots of OJ (for the vitamin C) and have a nice big bowl of Liptons Chicken noodle soup.
Feel better.

I agree - if it's an infection, antibiotics are the only way to get rid of it.
If it's just extreme pressure, I recommend the light blue sudafed - non drying sinus - works wonders!

I was just going to post about this! it definitely works, and is non-drowsy. try Advil Cold & Sinus too

aww-ty! but i cant take any antibiotics, they kill my stomach..so its either sh!t my pants or kill it w/otc meds LOL
plus, then i would have to go to an actual doctor, which isnt kool. LOL
liptons chicken noodle-makes me naseous-im such a picky ******, i know..
i just got the sudafed sinus headache-thanks ya'll!

The only relief I would get is with Tylenol Sinus.
But I agree with the others, that anti biotics is the only way to permanently get rid of it. Otherwise it just festers and stays forever. Maybe go to an ENT doctor and see if there is another option.

I would go to the dr. so they can recommend a safe antibiotic for you. If you leave a sinus infection untreated it can be very dangerous. I just went to the Dr. Tuesday for it. I feel like crap!!
