HUH?

I just talked to my Dr. to discuss how things were going with me. I told her that I just got AF this weekend and I asked her since I now have had one AF after the m/c is it okay to start trying again. She says.. "I want you to wait one menstrual cycle".. WTH? Didn't I just get AF? Isn't that one cycle? She goes.. "I want you to get periods and Lets put it this way, if you did get pregnant before you get a second period I wouldn't tell you to terminate it but I would rather you waited."

TERMINATE IT??????? What on earth? So..I assume... if I got Pg before AF she might have told me to terminate it??? I hate this practice. This is why I went with a midwife in the first place. THis dr. is mailing me a script for an HCG level for later this week so I will stay with them at least past that but once I get pg again I am going with the midwife and then I will find a new OB after the pregnancy..

Craziness... I really can't imagine why she would even say that???? Unless there is a major problem.. ectopic or other life threatening circumstances I can't imgaine why a doctor would ever recommend a termination.. Holy Crud

OMG, that is awful!! My dr suggested we wait 2 cycles, but I told him, "ummmm, I'm not 18 and don't plan on using a condom, would it be life-shattering if I got pg after one period" and he said "no, it is just recommended to allow the uterine wall to recover".....I can't believe your dr would even mention terminating unless it was a failed pregnancy, that is sick!!

Gosh I am so sorry!!!! What an azzhole!!!! Get your prescription and find another dr!

You know my story - I got pg before my first cycle, and I was FINE. My doc told me there was simply NO statistical or hard evidence showing that you are any more likely to m/c than if you conceived normally.

I think it might be time to find a new doc
