OPKs....
I finally broke down and bought a 7 pack today....AF is due in a few days.
My question is, say I test when I am supposed to. Obviously you keep testing until its positive and you BD that night. Do you keep testing every day after that too? I mean until you use up the whole 7 pack?
Also, do you think its ok to use first morning urine? I drink an absurd amount of water everyday, I cant stop that. The instruction sheet said that was ok if you have trouble holding your urine for 4 hours.

We used the clearblue digital OPKs this month. I tested for 1 day after I got my positive, and it was negative. I think you can stop testing after you get the + though. I don't think you need to use the whole pack.
Also, on the instructions to the clearblue, it says it's okay to use FMU, so I did. And it did show a +... so hopefully it worked right!

Re: OPKs....
Thanks!!! I am so clueless with this stuff! In never realized how hard it is!
A few other questions...
Is it possible to get a positive result for a few days or is it just one?
I thought we were supposed to BD before ovulation as well since the sperm still lives in there...how does that work as far as not BDing until you get a positive result?

I've heard people on here say they've gotten more than one + days. But in our testing, we only got 1.
When you get the + it means that you will ovulate within the next 24-48 hours. So BDing once you get the + will still be before you ovulate. Of course you can ovulate before you get the + also, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt! Due to whatever circumstances, we only BD'd the day we got the positive. I also kept my hips/pelvis elevated afterward. I'm hoping it was enough, but I'm doubtful! I'm in the two week wait now, so I will let you know soon! I plan to test on Friday (10 dpo)!

Re: OPKs....
If you get a true positive, you will only get it once...if you get it 2 or 3 days, then you are not reading it well and it is not a true positive (that's why digitals are the best-no need to interpret lines).
Also, do no use FMU...FMU is only good for pregnancy tests and not OPKs...the best time to take an OPK is in the afternoon 2-6pm, that's when your LH is the highest...

So you really are only going to BD for 3 or so days? Is that enough?
Not sure what I am going to do about the FMU thing!

Re: OPKs....
When I was using them I used to test in the evening (when I got home from work). You can use FMU but it is really not recommended. I drank a lot of water too. I would usually try to slow down my water intake in the afternoon and test as soon as I got home. I usually only went about 2-3 hours between going to the bathroom.
I got positives for 2 days always on the OPKS. I used the digitals so there was no guess work about the darkness of the lines. It depends on when you detect the surge because a + OPK means you'll O in the next 12-36 hours.
I didn't use the whole pack every month. I waited until I got my 2 days of + and then stopped.

I just got the OPK for the first time too. I bought the digital (clear blue). I got a smiley face on Sunday. It's been about 36 hours since, so I decided to try it again today and I got another smiley face. Does this mean I haven't ovulated yet??
