Went to BMW and Mercedes today
I'm in love with a car I cannot have...

To each his own, but i could never see spending that kind of money on something that loses value the first time you use it. But, i'm also too practical about things like that.

Yep, the practical side of me kicks in fast. We work very hard and it would be nice to reward ourselves with something not practical.
As I see it, I still want other things like a vacation, fix up the house, clothes, jewelry..etc..
Saving for retirement!
It was nice while I was driving it.

You can always get used version of that same car. That's what would make it more practical. :)
Or just stay away from those luxury car dealers entirely!

i was going to recommend used also. they offer good deals on certified used, with warranties and everything. or what about doing a lease?

At least I had fun driving it...
Yes, leasing is the way I go..but even so...too much moolah! I could have two other cars for one of those!
DH is depressed too..I told him to make more money!

I don't blame you!
My Mother recently went and test drove the Mercedes ML350 and absolutely LOVED it. And my Mother doesn't get worked up about very many things but this car was unbelievable. I told her that life's too short and if she really wants it to go for it but my Dad said he would feel more comfortable if she just leased something more affordable for NOW and then in three years when that is up she can get it. So, she got a Murano for now- very nice, of course but she still has her heart set on that Mercedes lol.
Three years-- that's what Dad said! LOL she should have gotten it on TAPE!
