Moving out

Just curious... We sold our house and am moving out this week. Am I supposed to spackle and close up any holes in the walls? Like from hanging pictures/mirrors etc?

Re: Moving out

The old owners did it for us when they moved out..

We had asked them to do various other things similar from the home inspection.

It makes it easier for them when they want to paint!

Re: Moving out

from a buyer's point of view, I don't think it's expected to touch up the normal wear and tear, but it sure is a nice thing to do for the new home owners! Chat Icon

I agree - I would think that was normal wear & tear. It's supposed to be broom swept per the contract but that's about it.

Re: Moving out

I normally would but am doing this move without DH,
so if it's not required I'm going to skip it. I definitely will make sure everything is sparkling clean though Chat Icon

I didn't. The new owner told us she was painting the place.
