AHHHHH- SOB!
mgmt of my co-op just called to tell me my buyers have been denied and would only say its because they have been dishonest in their application- she won't even speak to them about it or tell me specifics! I feel nauseous- we closed on our house last month! I'm a wreck and so going broke. sorry just had to vent- I HATE CO-OPs.

I'm so sorry this happen to you. I hope you buy another buyer soon. I would let your Agent tell any prospective buyer to be absolutely truthful in their application. Could you rent your co-op in the meantime?

We had an offer on our house and signed contract back in July. We took the house off the market, and prepared to close, around sept 30. Around the end of sept we started calling everyone imaginable asking them what is going on, why havent we set a closing date? Turns out his mortgage wasnt approved. So now WE are lending him the 20% to put down so his mortgage will be approved 
In the end it all works out...

i don't know what to do. our RE agents were horrible- Foxtons, and now their bankrupt. Our agreement with them is up, so we can either try to find a buyer on our own or get another realtor. Or try to rent it, but that opens a whoe slew of other issues, one being we'd be losing money each month from the rental.
ETA: we haven't even moved yet cause we were waiting to close, I don't know if we should move and leave it vacant or keep living there as furnishings usually help when showing a place.

I'm going through same thing...our prospective buyers were denied before even granting them an interview, and we still had to pay the fee for their "time". No reason for the denial, which i'm told they don't have to tell you the reason...we're living in an apt in a house my parents own, since we were planning on using the money from the sale of the co-op to save up money for a house of our own, but it stinks to pay mortgage and maint for a place that we're not even living in, since we can't find another buyer
