Suggestions- I want to do something special for DH

My husband's father passed away about a week after we found out that we are having a baby boy. As is understandable, he's full of mixed emotions. I would love to do something to cheer him up, maybe get him something special for him to share with his new son when he arrives. Does anyone have any ideas of something I can do?

Perhaps you can ask your MIL for something sentimental of your FIL's as a gift for a baby (e.g. a framed jersey, a favorite baseball, necklace, etc.). You can present it to your DH after your is born. It would be a special keepsake he can keep in the baby's room and always see it when he's in the nursery.

Or maybe a locket for the baby with a picture of your FIL.

Thanks for the suggestion, Chica. I spoke to my SIL yesterday, their father was huge into baseball/softball. We're going to choose an old jersey & she's either going to make a blanket out of it or a playsuit type thing.

Great idea...or maybe frame a jersey or something for the baby's room. Like have one made with your last name on the back with the number 07 (or 08, depending on when you are due...)
