i wrote them this:
Dear Mutts & Moms,
I would like to begin my saying I am sure you are recieving plenty of e-mails in reguards to recent events. I won't lie, I am writing to you about the whole Ellen-Iggy fiasco as well.
I am in complete understanding that when Ellen adopted Iggy she was made to signa statement saying that she would return him to your organization if she could not take care of him.
I am a big animal rights activist and know this is typically the rule. I myself have adopted out dogs with the same request.
After watching the clip of Ellen it truely broke my heart. I know she is a huge animal lover and I am sure that although not following her contract she only wanted the best for this puppy. I am sure she is in deep regret (how can she not be?) for what has happened.
I beg and urge you as a fellow animal activist and rescuer to please please please consider giving Iggy back to his new family. Of course I understand they will need to be evaluated.
I am sure everyone just wants what is best for this poor puppy caught in the middle. I know you have your conditions, but I just don't see how taking this dog out of his new forever home is in HIS best interest. It seems like a selfish decision has been made on part of Mutts & Moms.
I am simply writing to as a voice for the puppy who does not. Please please please consider evaluating this family.... and just give those poor children their puppy back.

Also, the more I think about it, the more I think the rescue org is just ****** that they lost out on more money. Because usually there is an adoption fee... Ellen paid it probably. Now if she surrendered the dog to them, they can adopt the dog out again, for another fee. But since Ellen gave the dog away, they lost out on that fee.

It's sad either way. I understand they have "policies". But do they realize how BAD this makes them look now? Who wants to adopt from them now?

Two thumbs down for New Beginnings Pet Rescue out of NJ

New Yorkers aren't good enough for adopting there pet's but they don't have a any problems collection our donations.
