slippery paws

my lab has the worst traction on his paws. He slips all over the floor...tile, woodfloors, etc... is there anything i can do about this. He has bad knees so it doesn't help his issue to be slipping all the time.

My dog is also like this - but she is a long haired Golden Retriever - not sure if it makes a difference with labs or not - but I have to cut the hair (long hair) in between her pads

They are all like that...Misty has no hair and if you feel her pads they are very rough, but she still slips on the wood and linoleum floors. I think it has more to do with their paws being a small surface.

same here .. all i can say is to put a lil carpet where he always slips ..thats what we sis .. botttom of stairs .. nar his bowl

thanks for the advice...i thought he was the only one who slipped so much. We just moved so i guess i will have to make area rugs next on our list of things to buy
