Wedding Gift-Enough??
I am going alone to a wedding in Tampa next month and I have known the family for 40 years (my parents were friends and they are my godparents-daughter is getting married). I am going to give $200. It is from the four of us. We can afford this but wasn't sure if it is enough. Thanks!

if you are the ONLY one going and the wedding is in Florida then 200 dollars is more than enough.

i agree.. i think that since you are the only one going, ANd you're going to need to pay to get down there, $200 is plenty!
i had a family at mine, who didn't have to travel at all... they have 3 grown children who all have good paying jobs, and the daughter brought her boyfriend... they gave us $100 from all 6 of them- the grown kids didn't even give their own cards or gifts! so, yeah, ... i'd say $200 would be great in yoru case!

I am lucky enough that my mom is paying for the airfare and hotel so all I need is this money and some spending (very little as we won't be there too long).

$200 is very generous, considering they only have to pay for 1 plate.
