Not trying to be rude but...
why are the people of the Hills so important?? Why are their lives any more "entertaining" or significant than anybody elses??

Honestly I have no idea, but I have to admit, I am a major fan of the Hills and I love it! I don't necessarily think of them as "sign ificant" but I am interested in them for some reason. Different strokes I guess.

i watch the hills and i love the show..
BUT i don't think it's fair to say that just because they have a show, that their lives are more "significant". "entertaining" does not equal "significant"
i think we all realize that these kids are not curing cancer or working for world peace, but it's fun to lose yourself for 1/2 hour in their world
honestly, it's television. your question could be asked of every single tv show out there.. but i think we all know to take a "scripted drama" for what it's worth

I don't watch the show b/c it annoys me - but I can see how it would be a guilty pleasure - It's fluff TV. -

Ratings say they are entertaining and I don't know ANYONE who thinks the hills gang are any more signifcant than anyone else.

I don't find their lives (or the show) entertaining AT ALL. I'd rather watch paint dry -- oh wait, that's what I've been doing most of the weekend.
