No because the pictures wouldnt capture the inner joy of what we felt that day.
Dont they do something like this is the south or midwest? And its calling wedding portraits?

Nope. I wouldn't. I would be too worried about something happening to the dress. Plus....I wouldn't want DH to see me before the actual day. I think it kinda ruins it.

NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nothing beats the expression my my DH's face when he first saw me in my gown on our wedding day!   
it would not have been as special.

ditto. i was on LIW the other day and read a post of a girl who did what you are describing the day she had her hair and makeup trial. just odd to me. to each their own, but just not for me.

A month before or even a day before... no. To me, that doesn't make sense since it's not your wedding DAY.
But on the day OF the wedding before the ceremony... yes. We saw eachother before our ceremony on our wedding day to take pics at Old Westbury Gardens and it was the best decision we made.
What is their reason for taking pics a month before?

NO WAY. But as other posters said, to each their own. I was adamant about us not seeing each other until I walked down the aisle. I can't imagine giving up that moment for anything!!!!

Maybe after... Although you never know what someones reasons are. But but maybe a family member is ill and their one wish is to see them dressed?? I wish my grandma could have. She wanted to see us in our wedding day clothes but passed away before our wedding.

The wedding is in a month and it will be cold in November and get darker earlier.....
