How nasty is this??? TTC related
I have a friend that had trouble having her first child, who is now 5 yrs old. DH and I had some issues we took care of, he had in infection , so he had to go to a urologist to have the infection cleared up, which was affecting things to get me pregnant. My ob/gyn told me to time it for 6 months and then to go further for testing etc if necessary. So we took a break for a few months and just started to time it again officially this month. I had a MC in Dec of 2005, and she knew this. She gets on the phone before and tells me I am not a spring chicken and when am I going to have a baby? I was so angry- I said you know we had some issues, and besides we were going away on a big trip this summer and I did not want to be pregnant for it, and my 2 SIL's are pregnant and I do not want to be pregnant with them. Besides the fact that I got married at 33, and we are not married to long. I then changed the topic- I am sooo angry.... All the time I kept thinking to myself, why is this her business and why am I explaining to her my situation with my DH? Okay- vent over - is this obnoxious of her or what???? )( PS She lives a very luxuroius life, I took care of 2 sick parents who have since passed away, so my 20's were not too fun, so I feel like I am doing what I need to do that I never got to do- travel, buy a house etc. and not obsess over TTC) ) I am just so angry right now!

Wow that was incredibly intrusive and insensitive of her. I understand being friends with someone for so long that you feel like you could say ANYTHING to that person but why she would say what she did is beyond me. I'm guessing her "intensions" were good but again, it was very uncalled for.
Try to chalk it up to people just don't think.
I would have simply said, it's none of your business. End of story.

ive learned that people say some really dumb $hit! people can be so insensitive and really dont know when things are totally inappropriate and none of their business!!

Sorry you had to stomach that converstation. What a jerk!!! My friends have said things like that to me before- and so have my relatives- at least my relatives are mostly in the dark about the problems we're having (not immediate family but everyone else) but I think people either just don't think or are really that stupid...
Here's some  for you!!! Don't waste the energy on being upset and on her--- she's not worth it (or at least her comments aren't).
