Smooth Top Stoves

Is there a cleaner for them? I already have nasty burn stains on them and have cooked maybe 3 times on them! HELP!

Re: Smooth Top Stoves

I use this stuff from Home Depot

External Image

I squirt it on the stove top...then use the sponge that comes in a kit with it....that will help loosen any burnt on food. If that isnt getting it off...I use a razor blade to scrape it off....then I use my regular sponge with hot water to wipe up the residue. Then I "polish" it with a dishrag.

Nice and shinny and clean!!Chat Icon

I use Cooktop cleaner from Weimens. It's available in most supermarkets.

This is what I use. I've found it to be the best and although its a little expensive, it lasts forever.

I use the crema bryte too. It works wonders, it also makes my stainless steel sink sparkel.

I sometimes wonder how toxic it must be to just zap burn stains like that...Chat Icon

I use Cerma Bryte as well and it works perfect for me. For the really nasty stuck on stuff it came with a scraper.

we also have good luck with the cerama bryte stuff.... and our stove came with a little scraper thing, almost like a rasor blade, that i use for the really tough burned on stains. otherwise for everyday stuff, i just use windex...

Use this and the cerama bryte scraper tool and everything comes off easily. You can buy it in Lowe's.

It wont scratch the surface by using a razor blade because the top of the stove is glass and a razor will not damage glass
