Flutters?

I felt for about two seconds or so a light butterfly feeling in my lower abdomen area. I am 12 weeks 5 days today. I felt it this morning and yesterday once. I thought it was my cell phone, but I had the phone in my hand!! Isn't it too early to feel that?

Or was it gas?Chat Icon

Re: Flutters?

Sounds like it to me...you'll notice they are sproratic at first but now that you know what kind of feeling to expect I think youll notice it more often.

I used to describe mine as a tickle from the inside.

Re: Flutters?

See, now you are making me wonder. I'm not sure. I thought I felt a flutter last night that I could not distinguish as anything else, but then I thought it is probably too early to feel that (I am 12w tomorrow), but you are not that far ahead of me. I'm curious to see what everyone says! Chat Icon

Re: Flutters?

That's what I felt Sunday and again on Monday - I was sure it was flutters but I haven't felt it again yet so I am now second-guessing myself. I'm seeing the MD tonight so I'll find out if we're crazy or not Chat Icon

possibility they were.

I felt them at 16wks.....and almost like a pop, pop feeling too.

I didnt know at the time it was the baby until a few wks later when I felt them more and often.

Re: Flutters?

oops..to answer the question...I am 16 weeks and today was the first time I felt something different. It was like when you are on a roller coaster and you start the down fall...that feeling in your stomach only in my spot on my lower ab.

Try miso soup Chat Icon
The first time I felt it was at 13 weeks, after taking a big gulp of soup. Then later on that night in bed, but since then nothing.
Hey you never know Chat Icon

What's Miso Soup? I've never heard of it.

I'm 16w today and still nothing. I thought I felt something, but realistically I think it's just gas moving

Re: Flutters?

Definitely sounds early but anything is possible. I started feeling flutters in week 17/18 and just starting feeling kicks this past week (20/21 weeks).

I have felt them a couple of times. It almost feels like a twirly thing going on. It's light and not like anything else. I think I feel it when the baby tumbles.

I'm pretty sure I've read that if you are very thin, you can feel the flutters earlier. So, quite possible it was! And for me, it definitely felt like a fizzy feeling.
