Hospital Gift's /Handouts..

*ahem* I was told today that you usually have the proud pappa hand things out for people who are at the hospital..


What does everyone plan on doing?

i've visited lots of babies in the hospital and never gotten a gift! what gives?

My buddy *ahem* I hope she reads this called me a brat.. BC I never heard of it either.. You get now I forget what she told me but she said you get a pressie when you come see the baby given by the proud papa..


I want my husband to give it out, I just forget what it is..

My BIL brought cigars for my other BIL to hand out. He will probably get some for DH, too. I am hoping to have time to get a candy basket to keep in my room to give candy to visitors and the nurses.

DH just handed out chocolate cigars to visitors and he smoked a cigar with a couple of guys when we came home.

But it is not expected of anyone to do from what I know of. We got the cigars at my shower

We had bubble gum cigars for the people that came to visit us at home.

I'm not sure if you mean visitors to your room or something else. If you mean visitors, in the past proud fathers gave out cigars - today those cigars are chocolate, bubble gum or candy. If you mean hospital staff - I have been told it is customary to bring a fruit basket or cookies to both the night and day shift nurses.

Yes T, you are a brat. And I didnt say a present, I specifically said cigars or chocolate cigars. Your post makes it sound like I am telling you to send DH to Saks to buy everyone a gift.

My fiends's sister made chocolate lollipops with the name, weight and birthdate on labels hanging around them.
