If you were ever banned...
Would you still read the boards? Would you attempt to make up fake names to get back on?

I would find another board to post on but would probably have a hard time not looking at the board - at least until I had a substitute.
I wouldn't bother with the fake names. What I have to say to my friends could still be said through email. I imagine friendships transcend banning in the same way they do changing jobs. Good friends you keep, the so-so ones drop off after awhile.

Honestly, even if I made up a new name, I think I would be easily recognized. I think I have a distinctive style when I post!  Plus, I'm opinionated, I would eventually cause some type of trouble, and Ron would figure it out!!!

I don't think you can make a fake name and come back...at least not with the same computer.
I thought the IP address was how Ron was able to ban people who came up with multiple fake names.

I was banned (my account, but not my IP) and came back. I didn't make up a fake name or try and hide who I was. I had to choose a different login name though. I opted to not use anything similar to my original login name just to avoid any unnecessary drama.

I was once banned from a Prison Break site, I dont even rememeber why lol...I just re-created a new login and I was allowed to post. Thankfully I have never been banned from LIF.

she was banned from LIW not LIF
Ron gave *almost* everyone a new chance with LIF

she was banned from LIW not LIF
Ron gave *almost* everyone a new chance with LIF

i would prob read the boards from time to time... i get a lot of useful info on the home board, recipe board, pet board etc... but if i was banned, i wouldn't bother with a new name, i don't think.

If I was banned, I think I would browse the boards from time to time.
I don't see the point in creating a fake name in order to post. I would keep in touch with my friends regardless.

Having a banned friend I learned that the powers that be can make it so the banned person's IP addy can be pevented from being able to view this site.
