For those who had showers....
How much of the stuff off your registry did you get? I was at a shower recently and was surprised by how many gifts were not from the registry, considering there was still a lot that hadn't been bought.
Just trying to prepare myself  I appreciate any and all gifts, but I'm just wondering if I will end up buying a lot of the stuff I really need, since they are more practical things and maybe not such "fun" gifts.

I know when a girlfriend of mine has a baby, I'll always check the registry first to see if there is anything left.
You might be surprised. You may find you get alot of it after the baby is born!

I got 99.9% of the items off my registry plus a bunch of things not on my registry. I had 2 showers (one in NY with family and one in GA with my friends and CoWorkers). I was very fortunate to have such generous people give to us.

We were very fortunate to have such generous guests as well. We got 99% of the items off our registry and tons of clothes which I never even bothered to register for. The only thing I "had" to go out and buy were the sheets for the PNP, otherwise nothing else was needed.

We were extremely lucky and got everything on our registries plus a bunch of clothes and other stuff we didnt register for. I returned anything we didnt need/like for store credit to save for things we will need.

All my major stuff was bought. People will go off the registry for clothes and stuff like that. But if they want to buy you the car seat, they buy the one you want. I got everything I needed. Plus you'll get gift cards, so anything you may still need you can use those on.
