Kind of creepy...
Does anyone have the Summer Day & Night Video monitor? When you have the camera off but the handheld on, do you see a crib that's not your own? Please tell me this is a default setting and not someone else in my building's crib

I have that monitor and i've never had an issue with interference at all and i live in a condo complex.
I didn't even know you could turn the camera off, i thought is was just channel a or b.
THat's very weird though..

I've heard there can be interference or that it is possible to pick up other homes with the monitors, especially if you are in an apt. building.
Can you use another channel?

I have a friend who has a video monitor, not sure of the brand, but they can see the baby next door clear as day. It's really creepy!

Umm, hate to tell you this, there's no default pic -- you're getting someone else's crib. It is kind of creepy. I use the video monitor, but so far haven't picked up any strange pictures.
Actually, what's even worse is I have heard of people picking up other people's voices on their monitors -- how creepy is that? Baby is fast asleep and you start hearing someone else's voice -- yikes!

Yes it is someone elses crib. My neighbor has her elderly parents in an apartment on the first floor of her house and she has a monitor on their bed. I get interference from their monitor and I see the little old lady in bed and I hear her snoring.

Yeah it is somewhat creepy, but yes you are seeing someone else's crib on your monitor..
We can see our upstairs neighbor's daughter's crib on the other channel of our monitor (we live in a co-op and they are one floor above us..) I was a little thrown off at first, but now I never switch to that channel so I hardly even remember them being there..
The peace of mind I get from the monitor more than makes up for this little weird aspect of it

OMG.. the baby monitor always flip me out when i pick up other peoples conversations.. it reminds me a of creepy lifetime movie LOL.. RETURN IT ASAP!
