My boss just emailed me looking for me...
DUH!!!!! I requested today off weeks ago and on Friday you said see ya Tuesday 
He asked me if was OK and why I was not in yet It was such a nasty email

Tell him you have an important interview and can't make it in until mid afternoon.

i used to have a boss that never kept stuff straight (and we had an office calendar that everyone got a copy of that listed these things!)
i always reminded her the week of, and then sent an email the day before.
your boss is whacko (no offense.) Did u respond?

Give the guy a break !! -
While the 'nasty' tone of the email was not necessary, I'm sure he has more important things on his mind other than his staff's vacation schedule - He probably just 'forgot' - People do that from time to time. -
All you have to do is remind him that you have an APPROVED vacation day today and you will be back in the office tomorrow -

Im pretty sure she works in an office that consists of like 3 staff members (maybe less???) IMO- if you are the "boss" and you only have 3 people to manage, there is no excuse for "forgetting" someones day off...
Thats why we have calendars!
