One more CBE Monitor question

I got AF today and don't have a monitor. If I win one today will I have to wait until my next cycle to start or will I be able to plug in the necessary info after that fact?

Help I don't want to bid if it won't do me any good this month.

Thanks!!!

i think you will have to wait till next month, you are supposed to start it on your first full day of AF

Jen, I answered over on Parenting...You can start as late as day 5 of your cycle.

You can start up to day 5 b/c you don't test until day 6.

Does it have to be first thing in the AM on day 5 because it probably wouldn't be delivered until day 5 but not first thing in the AM.

You set it to the time you are most likely to be able to test daily & it gives you 3 hours leeway before or after. I worked a really hard week and the first day off I slept until 11am! So it didn't ask me for a stick because i was outside the window. I usually get lows the first couple of days anyway. HTH

OK one more question.
I got AF today so if I had the monitor I would have to set it tomorrow and according to the instructions that would be day one so for me Day 5 would be Thursday right according to the monitor?

I was told by my OB that day 1 is the first day that you "bleed", not spot or have it light. But if I got it in the evening, I would count the next day as day 1. From your first post on this thread, it looks like you got it pretty early in the day, so I would count Sat. as day 1 for you. HTH.

OK even though my test time will be around 5:30am. That when I usually get up to pee every morning.

No. You would press the "M" button to reset it on the first day of your period, actual red flow not spotting (although whenever I spot i always say i have AF,but whatever they're the doctors, right?). For example, I got AF on 9/19-full red flow- so I pressed the "M" button to let the monitor know I had started a new cycle. In your case you would follow the instructions to set it for the first time and it lets you keep pressing to move it ahead a day or so if you already started AF so you would move it to 2 because you would be on CD2. It won't ask you to POAS until day 6 in the beginning. You set it to whatever CD you are on-no later than CD5 cuz you'll need to POAS on CD6. HTH. I just got my 4th day of high this morning and a +OPK this afternoon so I should get a Peak tomorrow.

Thanks!
I worked with a great seller and she dropped it at her 24/7 drop off post office for priority mail so I'm hoping I get it by Tuesday.

Good luck to you!Chat Icon
