Kind of religious poll.......
One of the tenants above me put a 3 foot statue of a Saint with the garbage to be put out. My land lord usually brings it to the curb when garbage is being picked up.
I saw the statue last night and thought it was kind of weird that someone would just throw it out like that.
Then today my land lord asked me if I put it there. I told her I was always afraid to throw religious artifacts, statues, books, and such out. She doesn't want to put it on the curb.
What do you do with your religious stuff that you don't necessarily want??

I donate it to whatever local charity is nearby - Salvation Army, etc. - so someone else can give it a good home.

great idea!!
so many of my father's friends have given him st. anthony statues ( his name is antonino) - our front yard would look like a graveyard if we put them all out SO they are all in my basement wrapped up in the box. . . if people ever find them they will think we perform some strange religious rituals LOL we never know what to do with them! I will take one when I have my own house

the only relgious stuff I have is a menorah which I would not be afraid to toss if I got a nicer one. the other relgious items I have I would never throw away (precious metals).

I have heard that you are supposed to bury it, not throw it out. I know of people that have broken a small figurine and have buried it.

I have never thrown something like that out but I would probably bring it to the Salvation Army or somewhere similar.
