Congratulations, my husband and I were the same way we didn't tell our family until we were 3 months and I didn't tell my co-workers until I was 4 months... It was easy to hold it in becuase I only gained 13 lbs through my pregnancy... But when it came out my mom was alittle upset but she got over it since it is there first granchild.

Yeah, that is the plan... that's what DH wants to do. I will see how long I can hold out. I'm sure it easier said then done.
Funny you said that about your mom... I think my mom will be very offended too. We are really close and I tell her almost everything. Not sure what to do about that??? I think she will also be surprised because I have a big mouth and I think she will be shocked I didn't spill the beans sooner.  Plus she knows we are TTC'ing.
Wow, you didn't gain a lot of weight at all. You must have been really tiny!
I wonder on average how long most people wait to tell everyone???

Yeah I agree.
We did not tell anyone until we were 10 weeks & then it was just parents. We told the rest of the family at Thanksgiving dinner, which was our 12 week mark. It was not so bad b/c I did not have m/s, and physically IU was not any different until about 14 weeks or so.

Yeah, I'm going to play it by year and see what happens. I think we are going to end up telling close family and close friends earlier the the second trimester.
We are going out to dinner this Saturday with my in-laws for my DH birthday and of coarse I am not going to be able to order a drink and that is out of character for me. My mother in law is going to be all over that like white on rice!!!! She is like a blood hound when it comes to this. She has been telling me "You're Glowing" or asking "are you pregnant?" or even "do you want a drink? A beer?" for quite a while now. She wants another grandchild so badly!!
She is going to be on to us, but I'm just going to insist that she is wrong and that I'm not. I haven't even gone to a dr. appt yet! I think I'm just going to say I was out with my friend the night before drinking and had a little too much and that I just don't feel up to drinking again. I also don't want my MIL to find out before my mom, I would feel bad and I think my mom would too.
Sorry so long.
