throw up... why?

Can someone tell me why does my cat throw up so often?

We have had him since he was about 3 months and now he is 3 years old and he is an indoor cat only and we have been feeding him the same food for 3 years..

maybe its the food, try switching brands.

I have a confession..when I got Chilly I was cleaning the floors in my apartment and Chilly was throwing up 3 times a day. I spent hundereds of dollars in vet bills. Well, after a while I didn't Pine Sol the floor and realized Chilly didn't throw up in a couple of days. My mistake..I was almost killing my cat I put her in the bedroom and waited for the floors to dry before I let her back out.
Maybe your cat is just prone to vomit? Mine does not like fancy feast food and throws that up. Stopped giving her wet food alltogether, vet recommended it.
