How does one dispose of checks?
I have A LOT of checks that were never used from previous banks. I have been hanging on to them for years. I feel like shredding would take forever. Any tips???

I always shred them. I rip them out and then kind of fan them top to bottom, and feed them through all at once. It doesn't take all that long.

you can give them to your bank branch and they'll dispose of them...probably recyling them.

I personally would not do this. It is too risky...there are criminals everywhere. Do it yourself, just shred a bunch a day.

That's what we do at my job...Everything gets thrown in a locled bin, and the shredding company comes to pick it up.
I think it's like that at every bank.
