Kitchen Cabinent Storage?

We just bought a new home and there are so many cabinents in this big kitchen. There are all kinds of cabinents - the smaller draws are kinda narrow. The cabinent that would fit my pots and pans best would be in the caddy corner cabinent that has a lazy susan built into it, but it's not right next to the stove.... so I am kinda limited there but..

How to decide what to put where? i.e., glasses, dishes, canned foods, boxed foods, bakeware, silverware.

I put stuff away where I thought it should go and I switched everything around once or twice after a month in the house.

I agree! I put there where I thought they should go. Glasses next to the fridge and etc... Then if I didn't like something I moved it. HTH

Re: Kitchen Cabinent Storage?

I like my plates and glasses near the dishwasher (easy to put away) they are actually btwn the DW and fridge - since that seems like a good idea too (but hadn't thought about that until I read AP)

If you have or plan on having kids, put cleaning supplies in an upper cabinet (to get used to it) and have tupperware on the bottom (so they can play with it)

Are there any pull out drawers in the cabinets - I like those for my pots and pans and bakeware.

My bottom lazy susan has my appliances on it, so it's wasy to get ot even the heavy ones (my mom keeps her pots and pans in hers though). My upper Lazy Susan has baking supplies and canned goods in it.

Glasses, plates, bowls are right above the dishwasher. That cabinet holds all dishware. Next to it are spices, food, baking needs. Above the stove goes my Pyrex/Corningware. Plasticware is the furthest from the stove so it doesn't melt.

Pots and pans are in a little cabinet we have in the corner across from the stove.

Unfortunately my cabinents are not that deep or wide. Chat Icon
The ones that do have pull out drawers are not wide enough to fit the bake ware.. The deepest and widest cabinet I have is the caddy corner above the caddy corner lazy susan..Oh geez.. this is tiring..
