No more paypal for us!
Ehhh- I just logged into our bank account, and noticed a couple of transactions from paypal.
I asked DH what he purchased, and he said nothing.
When we logged into paypal, it said our account had been frozen, because of fraud.
Apparently someone got into our paypal account and purchased a few things, which then was deducted from our checking account. Of course they are further investigating, but its after the fact that the money is already gone from the account.
I notified the bank immediately and now we have to close the account tomorrow, and get a new one.
This aggravates me to no end. I have NO time to sit at the bank forever to take care of this, AND what happens to all the $$$ I just spent on checks?
Someone else screws up, and of course its my problem!
Whoever this moron is, risked getting caught for fraud over some pretty stupid purchases. And of course left the shipping info for us to see- so DH did reverse look up, and got the name & address of the person. I'm so tempted to give them a call!!!!
Im done with paypal, and to be quite honest with all online billing/payments from now on.

That's terrible.
Something similar happened to my mom. Someone got a hold of her Amex and OPENED a paypal account with it! Now tell me that isn't messed up.
Sorry you are going through this. Online fraud is outrageous!

I was a paypal fraud victim. What I did was get this keychain. It gives you a randomized number each time you click it. It ensures that only you are able to log in. I leave it right on my desk. When I use paypal now it's only at home but I guess that is fine knowing I am 100% safe. I would say to look into this keychain they have. It was a 5 dollar initial cost.

i signed up for pay pall used it once and won the bid only to find out it was the wrong thing and had a huge problem with the guy i was gettiing it from... after that i never used it again and will never use it... plus i always get emails from"paypal" saying my account has a problem... umm i no longer have an account... i have spoken with paypal a few times and i finally got it totally out of there. hope all works out for you
