Advice with Temping
Because of puppy I get poor sleep. Last night she had be up at the usual 2:30. I take her out and go back to bed. When I wake up I take my temp..usually around 5:00am. Last night I was up at 2:30. Feel back to sleep and woke up at 4:30, took my temp and let her out. She started crying again at 6am, took my temp again and have been up with her. This is crazy with the dog and was a really bad night but now my question...
Do I count 97.23 as my temp at 4:15am OR Do I count 97.52 at 6:00am as my temp??? My normal waking time is 5am. Please I am coming close to my O date and not sure if one day will throw me off or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Advice with Temping
Which temp is closest to your avg for now? I think I'd go with that one.

Re: Advice with Temping
Anything before 5:10 and anything after 5:50 is considered a disturbance. I guess I am closer to the 6am time but I didn't sleep that long before that.

Re: Advice with Temping
I would note it on your chart or on Fertility Friend (if you are using it). If your doctor is looking at your charts, point out or highlight the days that your sleeping patterns nay be off.
I am on vacation now and not nearly as stressed so my sleeping patterns have been consistent. When I had been working, my temps were all over the place because I wasn't sleeping through the night and temping at the same time. FF had a lot of "open circles" on my chart. It did not make a difference.

Re: Advice with Temping
Yeah, I would definitely note both times and temps in your FF chart. If you got more than 3 hours sleep before you woke up the first time, I would probably use that first temp, even though it's so much earlier than your normal temping time. But I'm no expert

Re: Advice with Temping
Thanks Ladies! I went with the earlier time which seems to be about the temp I usually get. I just started temping last month and with the pup it is hard. Goldi I know what you mean about going back to school. I am sure my temps will be eratic. Thanks so much for the feedback!! Much Appreciated!!!

Re: Advice with Temping
i would note both temps on FF and see what the general pattern is over the next few days.
if it's near your ovulation time i would also start BDing every other day, so you don't miss your fertile period.
