How often -
I was just thinking about dinner plans for over the weekend. And I was wondering - about how often do you eat out(or take in as the case may be) a week?
Poll options are very general but feel free to post a more accurate number.
eta: DH and I average eating out/taking in about once a week.

i'd say 3x week on our own - we usually go out Fri & Sat, then will get take in like pizza or chinese one day during the week. But that number changes if we see my in-laws or father that week - we rarely see both though in the same week.

1-2 nights a week. Usually on the weekend, but sometimes during the week. Also on the weekends we'll sometimes grab a bite for lunch, too, if we're out all day.

Usually Fri, Sat, or Sun are a toss up for eating out. Sometimes we'll cook, sometimes we'll eat ot .... sometimes it's dinner, sometimes it's a late lunch. I do not plan weekends.
Sometimes I'll go to the butcher and pick out a nice veal chop or porthouse or something we normally do not eat during the week and make a nice dinner for us which is better than eating out.
The only time during the week (MON-THUR) we eat out is if we have a doctor's appointment at night and there is no time to cook.
I would rather cook a good meal than eat out any day of the week.

ETA: I don't always make elaborate meals. Some nights it's just grilled cheese and soup. Or perogies with grilled onions and sour cream.

Ditto. weekends are a crapshoot.
weeknights, usually 1x a week for pizza.
ETA- it's almost always take out, though- restaurants are less frequent- 1x a month maybe.
Ugh the last time we went to a restaurant it was terrible, I was so mad bc it's so rare.

We usually get some sort of fast food on thursday nights because my DH is in a golf league and he doesn't get home till late. On the weekends it depends- maybe once or twice we'll go out for dinner/lunch. So i would say in total 2-3 times per week
