DH is a teacher, so we got married in October and went to Aruba in December. NO biggie!!

We did not go on our HM right after our wedding either due to my DH job. It's really not that big of a deal. People are always going to talk..you do what you have to do!

We went on our honeymoon a month later - we spent a couple of days after the wedding at the hotel at Fox Hollow.
I liked it better, because after the wedding we didn't need to rush, get up early, etc etc. We had a couple of days to reminise and enjoy.

I also went to Tahiti, and we went in March. I did go after my wedding, but it was great to have a tan when it was freezing over here!! It will be worth the wait!!!
Don't you worry about other's opinions, who cares what other people think. Eff them all!!!!!!
Go out east or to Ct for the weekend, or even the city. I vote out east. You will get still decent weather and the hotels won't be as $$$ as they are now.
Good luck, and again..."que se vian para el carajo" as my mom says!!(I will NOT translate that one)

My DH and took a little mini-honeymoon and went to the Pocono's for 4 days. We went to Aruba five months after we got married. It was the best thing we decided to do.
