Did you have trouble sleeping
in your early months? I am just about 2 months and I cannot get a good night sleep. I toss & turn & can't get comfy. it's so frustrating. Just wondering if anyone had sleep problems this early on.

Re: Did you have trouble sleeping
I'm 7w1d, he last week or so, i've been waking up like 3 hours earlier than normal, and having to make myself fall back to sleep. I wake up feeling like I am ready to be awake, but then I realize I am so so so tired.

Re: Did you have trouble sleeping
All my sleeping problems are thus far bathroom related. I'm 23w6d and I've had two nights of 5 uninterrupted hours of sleep the entire pregnancy.

Yes straight away, I'm 11 weeks and I'm still not sleeping, Up to pee every 1/2 hour doesn't help

Oh yes, the peeing in insane. I don't get it! I mean, when the belly is bigger, pushing on the bladder I understand, but why so much pee now!

I read in one of my preggo books it's something to do with the increased amount of blood in the body and kidneys working harder?

Re: Did you have trouble sleeping
I am 11 weeks and sleep terrible. I am generally a light sleeper but I wake up in the middle of the night wide awake. I also wake again about 530. I read that the pregnancy hormones cause insomnia and also speed up the kidneys. Hence the added trips to the bathroom.

Re: Did you have trouble sleeping
Yes, the random waking in the middle of the night was one of my first signs I was pg this time. I don't wake as much in the middle of the night now, but I def. am up a lot earlier than I used to be.

Re: Did you have trouble sleeping
YES!!!! I have no problem falling asleep, but I wake up for the bathroom, some times to change positions, sometimes for no reason. Friday I was up at 3:30am and could not fall back to sleep!

Re: Did you have trouble sleeping
Yes. I slept terribly around 3 months through almost 5 months (there were some other stressful things going on in my life at that time though, so it's hard to say what was doing it). Around 5 months I got about a month's worth of good sleep, and now as I'm getting close to 6 months, I'm not sleeping again. My doctor seems to think it's hormones.
