Re: DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE
This happened to me occasionally during my 2nd trimester. Now that I'm getting go the end and swelling a bit it happens all the time. i wake up with one or both hands asleep, it happens driving, using a mouse and even watching TV if I don't pay attention to where my hands are.

Re: DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE
It could be carpal tunnel or it could be that the baby is leaning on a nerve.

Re: DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE
i had it during my 2nd trimester and now it happens once and a while. The numbness was in my left pinky and ring finger...i asked the dr. about it and she said it could be carpal tunnel but said thats its common to have during pregnancy and not to worry.

I am almost 39 weeks and this happens all the time to me. My hands become numb and tingly if I am holding something or when I wake up. Its from the swelling.

Re: DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE
I have had bad carpal tunnel since around week 20. I have been going to acupuncture and it helps alot and I also sleep with a wrist brace.

Re: DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE
i think it may be sign of carpal tunnel syndrome (sp?). I think that its common with PGs.

Re: DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE
I had it so badly it was one of the main reasons that I couldn't work anymore, it hurt SO badly.
I was never diagnosed with carpal tunnel and my doctor just told me "it's normal" and to be honest with you, DS is 16 weeks old and my right wrist STILL hurts

Re: DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE
Be careful that could be a sign of hypertension. Definately mention this to your OB on your next appointment.
