Scheduled C-Section

If you have or will be having a scheduled C-Section at what week did they or will they perform it? I will be having a scheduled C-Section but they can't do it before 39 weeks.

As of right now, my doc says I'll have to have one at 37 or 38 weeks. Because I have complete previa and I cannot go into labor.

I had my induction which led to a c-section at 39 weeks exactly...my due date was 3/27/07 and dd was born on 3/20/07.....if there are no problems, I would recommend waiting until at least 39 weeks

My OB told me mine would be scheduled a week prior to my due date.

MOst hostpitals will not allow scheduled c-sections before 39 weeks, unless there is a good reason. Neither NSUH or Winthrop would allow this. I will have my c-section 6 days before my due date.

I am now considered a high risk gestational diabetic and my doctor just told me that they want me to get to 37 weeks ... after that if my sugar looks 'wacky' I will be scheduled for a c-section that same day they are 'wacky'. He said it is possible for 36 weeks also, but they aim for 37 weeks + ...

I am technically due on 8/27 and having the c-section this tuesday, 8/21.

They are delivering me at 39 weeks unless my back really gets unbearable, then they said 37 weeks but only after they test the fluid to see if her lungs are developed.

I "Was" scheduled for 35 weeks 5 days but I had issues.

Thanks ladies. My midwife will be scheduling me for a C-Section because I have fibroids. One is located on top of my cervix and one on top of my uterus. They are measuring 5-6cm. My DD is oblique(slanted) in my tummy so this is reason why they are scheduling me for one.

I was supposed to have it at 37 weeks but I went it to labor and my toxemia was getting very bad just shy of that and they did the c-section then.

Mine was scheduled at exactly 39 weeks. The hospital (Winthrop) will not schedule it before UNLESS it was an emergency c-section.

It was on a Friday. I asked the dr. to do it on the Thursday. She told she could not. I was shy of 1 day... and really would not be allowed by the hospital.

A week to 10 days before your due date.

38 weeks. My dd was breech and my dr. was afraid of me going into labor.
