Anyone else

feel terrible leaving their furbaby when they go to work?

Sometimes all I can think about at work is Dottie being home all day by herself.
Occasionally my mom will drop in on her, but I still feel so sad that she's alone.

Just missing her today.


ETA: I think it makes it harder because I work in NYC and live on LI.

I was thinking this today.
I am a teacher and have been home this summer and spening a lot of quality time with Chester.
It is really going to suck to leave him home all day once September rolls around...I feel so guilty!

Yes I know how you feel (esp when I worked in NYC)...but now I work 10 min from home and I go home for lunch, and it's hysterical, I walk in the door and Casey take her sweet a$$ time to get up to go out and pee She is SO lazy...that's all they really do is sleep or look outside all day...then when I get home we play ball, go for a walk etc...don't worry - they are not putting as much thought into it as you are!!

OMG all the time- i get depressed about it sometimes. I went away this past weekend and i could not stop thinking about my baby. I kept calling DH and checking in on the pup. i'm really attached.

I do too but I have noticed all my dog does is sleep all day!! Its like I am disturbing her routine when I am home. So I don't feel too bad because I know she is napping.

I used to feel bad until I realized all she did was sleep all day. My dad was visiting once, and it was just the two of them all day, and she pretty much ignored him. She spent all her time napping or looking out our bedroom window (her bed is in our bay window).

But I also feel bad when I make stops on the way home from work.

(ETA: don't get me wrong, I still do feel bad leaving her, but not as much since i know she sleeps)

even if I run errands for like an hour I feel bad
Everytime he sees me pack the boys he wants to come. I usually bring him, but it has been too hot to leave him in the car.
I will take him if I'm NOT getting out of the car.

i also work in NYC -so i am up early & so is jack.

jack has a morning routine with me -he doesnot get up until i reach for my shoes, then he's up, giving me kisses & ready to go. one w/e i tried to leave him in one of the spare rooms while i ran a quick errant.... & he whined so much, i went back in the house to get him

but the reality of life, we gotta work.. so i give him lots of love ans soon as i get home.
