Do you "have to" pee after BDing?
I've heard you should go to the bathroom, so you don't get an infection -- is this true?

Yup! I was getting uti's all the time. Went to the doc and was told that it actually has a name. Something like "newlyweditis"  . Because of all the BDing.

But my DH says that's why we're not PG yet, because of me going to the bathroom afterwards.
Seperate question:
Also, how do you keep the fluids from coming out? I've tried keeping my legs up in the air, but I get tired.

I heard it only takes a few minutes for the sperm to swim up where they are supposed to go. I lay flat or with hips slightly elevated for about 15 minutes after BD'ing, then pee to avoid a uti. I haven't gotten one yet doing this. By the way, I heard you shouldn't elevate your legs/hips too high, that isn't good either.

Well my doc says that will not stop you from becoming preggo. He also gave me pills that you can take before bding to stop the risk of infection.
What I do now is I pee right before bding (if I know it's going to happen) then after were done maybe 20 mins later. I pee again. Havent had any uti's and I havent taken any of the pills yet either

I usually empty my bladder right before BDing and then elevate hips for 15-30 minutes after. I have not had any problems with UTI's. Good luck!

I usually try to hold it as long as I can but I don't have problems with UTIs. I've read of women using the Instead Cups to help hold everything in but I haven't used them.

I always pee right after, I used to get UTI's all the time.
Ever since I started doing this, I haven't had any UTI's.
Although, I do like to BD with a full bladder. For some reason it feels really good for me..
