Didn't realize my facial toner contained salicylic acid
I am so annoyed right now cause I have recently been switching many of my personal care products like soap, shampoo, etc. to more natural/organic ones to avoid chemicals.
I started using the Be Fine skin care line from CVS about 2-3 months ago. One of the natural ingredients in the toner is willow bark which I come to find out is a naturally occurring form of salicylic acid. I'm annoyed because if the ingredient list actually said "salicylic acd" I wouldn't have used it since I found out I was pg.
I am 5 1/2 weeks pg and I am now making myself nuts over this. Someone please tell me what your doctors have said about salicylic acid.
I will not be using it anymore!

I really think you will be fine. Plenty of people have used products that are no nos are are perfectly fine nad have perfectly fine children.
Just don't drink it.

My doctor said salicylic acid is ok. I wouldn't go overboard with it. I use a face wash with it. I wouldn't do face wash, toner, AND moisturizer.
I think one product is fine.

You are very right.........Many pg women use either a salicylic acid wash or toner during there 9months due to the hormone imbalance. It is completely fine to use 1 product. If you have an issue w/breakouts then you can also try a mud mask. These are natural and help a lot even if your not pg. Have a happy and safe pg!!!!

With my last PG I used it the whole time. My Dr never even mentioned it to me. You will be fine!

My doctor said it's fine. I stopped using it anyway when I heard it may cause problems, but that was my choice.
