Do you bd everyday or every other day?

Can you bd too much? I am so confused...this is our 7th month trying now, and still nothing. I was out of opks yesterday but we bd'd anyway, it was cd 14 I took one 6 hours later when I bought more, and it was negative, took one this morning cause im a looney toon and want to know the minute I ovulate, and that was negative too, so ill take another tomorrow morning, once its positive do we bd as often as possible for the next 36 hours or do we just do it once hoping its concentrated...sorry if this is all a bit tmi, im just getting so frustrated, I never knew it was going to be this hard, I know so many girls that get " knocked up" and are so scared, yet I want it so bad, and it just doesnt seem to be happening.

I know how you feel about wondering if too much BDing is detrimental. Last month DH and I BD'd like rabbits and I think it might have been too much. Some girls try the strategy of abstaining a few days until they get a positive OPK. Other's suggest every other day when you see fertile CM and then for three days straight when a +OPK is achieved. I am with you on not knowing what is best.

I read that you should not BD every day because the sperm have not had a chance to fully regenerate and therefore if you do you are winding up with less chances of fertilization.

My midwife said if we BD every 3 days post AF we should wind up PG within 4 months (assuming there aren't any unknown health issues).

I've just been having a hard time sticking to the every 3 day schedule.

Dh and I BD every other day starting at or around CD 10 until one or two days after I ovulate. I got PG twice doing it this way, but unfortunately they didn't stick. But we are going to continue every other day since it has worked for us. I also use preeseed.

Every other day worked for us twice.

I bd everyday for 12 days just to be sure (this was the month I got pregnant).

we pretty much tried every type of BD schedule in our 5 cycles trying. i don't think that there's one right way to do it, but for what it's worth, the month we got pregnant was the first month that we BDd every other day from CD10-18.

the way i see it, if you BD every other day for the better part of your cycle, you don't need the OPKs or anything because you really can't miss your fertile period. i also found doing it that way to be less stressful, jmo.

When we finally conceived we BD'd every other day. the previous times we BD'd every day. I don't know if it was coincidence or not.

We BD everyday... sometimes 2x... but I think thats just because we are horndogs...

I tried every other day from day 8 to 14 with EWCM on day 12. didn't work.. maybe I O'ed on day 16.. but can't sperm still be alive then???

So this month we are bd'ing on days 9 , 10 , 12, 13 , 14, 15 , 16 and 18.
We'll see. Today is day 12. I dont temp or use OPK but I go by Cycle day and CM. Today thru wednesday are green (fertile) days and Thursday is predicted O..
Hopefully we get lucky this month. My midwife told me every other day from 10 to 20 because sperm are too immature if you do it every day.. but that didn't work. So now we try other ways.

I am so glad this thread is up. Everything I have read says BD every day during the fertile period UNLESS DH has a sperm issue. If I don't get a BFP this month I am switching to BD every other day from CD 10-18.

Quantity vs Frequency

DH's urologist (when he went for IF testing) said that in a normal man, every day should be fine. There should still be plenty of fellas to get the job done.

On the month we got PG we did it every day. (Pregnancy was ectopic.)
