Exercise

I just read in a book that too much exercise is not good for TTC. Anyone else hear that?

Re: Exercise

If you already had an exercise regimen then I would stick with it. If anything, I wouldnt go hard on ab work but low impact cardio is fine. Talk with a trainer.

Re: Exercise

I conceived two days after running a half marathon and run/workout 6 days per week on a regular basis - so if your body is used to it, should be fine. I have found that the ones who say it's bad are the ones who do not exercise.

Re: Exercise

If anything, excercise is GOOD for TTC. It speeds the motabolism, gets things moving, and makes your body more efficient at EVERYTHING including conception.

Anyone who says that exercise is not good for TTC is just lazy and probably wants an excuse to not have to exercise.

The only time its NOT good is when you're doing so much that you suffer anamoreah (loss of menses), but that means olympic training......8+ hours a day of aerobics....like Nadia Komenich. That is probably what that book is referring to.

Once you conceive, exercise is also good....you just need to calm it down and not do anything too crazy.

But as long as your TTC.....exercise away!

Re: Exercise

This was definitely not true for me personally. I was working out 5 days a week when I conceived.
