Need help... so frustrated!!

So I have known for awhile my insurance co. doesn't pay for infertility treatments. I spoke with DH's company last week and they told me they cover everything up to IUI so I went ahead and scheduled my day 3 bloodwork and HSG. Well I got a phone call from the doctors office saying that my insurance company will deny the HSG and DH's insurance co. won't pay for it as my secondary since my primary doesn't cover it. I have 1199 insurance and because it's a union it's not mandated under the NYS law, however DHs is required to pay. Has anyone had this problem?? I called my insurance co. to cancel and just go on DH's as primary, but they said it's almost impossible to cancel it because my employer doesn't pay on an individual basis? I'm just so bummed out, I know I am going to be on the phone all day tomorrow fighting with insurace companies.

I'm sorry to hear this. A friend had a problem with secondary insurance not covering something with anesthesia for a procedure for her son because the primary denied it. She fought it hard but won! Good luck to you!
